PROmpter teleprompting software will run on any standard IBM DOS or WINDOWS
PC, XT AT, Pentium or compatible computer. Ridiculously Low Cost video
converters are available to generate the proper composite video signal for
teleprompter monitors from a VGA (DB-15) video interface, if required.
PROmpter Software is an ideal full featured teleprompting package which is
both fast and efficient, and SUPER easy to use. The PROmpter software is menu
driven with on-line Quick Reference help screens. You don't have to even look at
the manuals to get up and running the first time. PROmpter Teleprompter Software
can also quickly and easily convert your old, low-tech paper-driven teleprompter
into a state of the art computer-based teleprompter system.
PROmpter accepts text files from any name brand word processor which can
export ascii, DOS-text or non-document text files (Word, Wordstar, WordPerfect,
Notebook, Write, Wordpad, etc), or you can use the PROmpter's built-in easy to
use line editor. PROmpter will ULTRA smooth scroll your text file with specially
designed GIANT characters. You can select between Serif or San-Serif fonts, at
either 5, 10 or 15 lines of text per full screen, with 20 characters per line.
Some foreign fonts are also supported.
Ultra Smooth Scroll Speed from FULL REVERSE, through dead stop, to over 30
lines per second FULL FORWARD can be instantly selected during scrolling with
your standard mouse, or through your keyboard keys. A tap on a keyboard key or a
single mouse-click will toggle Scroll Pause on or off. A single mouse-click or
single keystroke will instantly change direction of the Scroll. Single keyboard
keys or simple mouse movement control the Scroll Speed. Simple, fast and easy to
learn!
During scrolling, a simple press of the ESC key opens a control window
which allows you to easily and quickly navigate around in your text files. The
control window offers a look at the next 20 lines of text to be scrolled, and a
list of 10 commands available to you for navigation.
PROmpter features user selection of character and background colors,
character sizes, font style, default text filename, mouse and keyboard scroll
control, pc-type and display type.
